An Ilustrated History
This is an account in words and photographs of the Territorial Army in Hertfordshire from its formation in 1908 from two battalions of Volunteers who themselves could trace their origins to the raising of the Rifle Volunteer Corps of 1859-60. It tells of the achievements of its officers and men during campaigns in two World Wars, and its struggle in peacetime to retain its identity until 1961. The Regiment's association with the Cadets and Home Guard are described, as are its successor units, who form part of the Royal Anglian Regiment now celebrating its third centenary.
